Bebe’s House bathroom addition, “A design for the skinny-dipping aesthetic” This bathroom, an addition to an exiting home was located under a roof covered exterior space. The bathroom design was to compliment the existing architecture and make a direct relationship to the existing pool and lushly landscaped rear yard. Several steps from the main house were required to given the change in elevation and then again steps wrapping around the exterior of the addition to meet the exterior ground level. The steps which wrap the corner continue without break through the vertical glass mullions, providing the link between the new addition and pool deck as a single unbroken plane. Mitered glass corners at the clearstory windows create an illusion of a floating roofline. Double louvered jalousies windows featuring glass on the inside and redwood on the outside, match the existing windows in the house which provide ventilation and privacy around the house. The Bathroom is divided into two separate spaces, one with a whirlpool tub relating directly to the outdoors and the other a private for essentials.
