Oblomov’s Dream…Platform Bed…The design concept was based on the juxtaposed positions of three basic geometic forms, rectangle, triangle and circle. The bed’s platform is a torsion box construction with oil finished match maple wood veneer faces and solid maple rails (60″ x 80″). The platform sits on top of a triangular frame, made with cold rolled steel, sandblasted and a clear powder coat finish. The triangular from spans between 3 concrete cylinders with sandblasted vertical surfaces, a smooth carnauba waxed polished top. Rubber bumpers separate the steel triangle from the concrete cylinders.

Inane (“Lacking in substance or space”)…Rolling Mirror…This prototype is a frameless double sided mirror that floats just off the floor surface, the visual effect is as if there is a hole in space that is being viewed. The finished piece’s intent was to have custom made wheel brackets mounted directly to the face of the mirror.

Galvo…These tables were built from standard galvanized fence post and chain link fence connections. Toped with wire glass and a rubber extrusion edge.
